The best part of our performance according to the judges was : When cooper through his hat.

Or weakest score was : unsportsmanlikevconduct.

I think we could have improved the mist with: unsportsmanlike conduct

Here are some things I learned from the experience: odyssey is hard.

Something I would do differently next time would be: Work harder

Science stuff

I think that the molecules in the vinegar are making the bubbles in the baking soda go pop pop because the vinegar kills bacteria and backing soda reacts to water.


The gases that were poured into the glass and then into the candle i have no idea how that happened but still that IS AWESOME!    






I learned that some gases have the power to put out a candle light.

Action Plan

Action plan:
Newtons Law #1. Mattie introduces a wrestling match with sarah the midget and sophie the awesome strong person.. sarah is on her knees and sophie is tall and applies force to her head to stop her.

Newtons Law #2. Sarah Kate, Sophie and Mattie Alan will be doing the offline poster.

Newtons Law #3. Rosario and Korben will be making an animation with Pivot.

Korben; The one who stays up the longest wins.

Odyssey of the mind

Our odyssey of the mind group consists of 5 people these people are the RAINBOWS Sophia, Korben, Sarah Kate aka Skate, and me Rosario. And our project is the way you look at it.

I Rosario will be in the weird world along with Sophia. Korben Sara Kate and Mattie will be in the normal world but Mattie and Sara will be normal aorben will be WEIRD

Myth Busters episode one

It is expected that older students use their leadership skills to help those that need assistance.
•These are the questions for the two mythbusters episodes.   1.  Episode 1: Season 9 - Presidents Challenge2.  Episode 2:  Season 8 - Fireball Stun Gun
•These questions should work for both videos.
•Put these in your science blogs.
•Students should also paste a picture that represents the myth they saw in their blog as well.

1. What myths were presented in the video? Hell boy punch to flip a car and they did assign it as BUSTED. The also tried to burn a ship with 500 mirrors! though it was confirmed as BUSTED.

2. What do the words busted, plausible and confirmed mean? busted meaning a failure, plausible meaning possible, and confirmed meaning it can happen

3. Which myths were busted, which were not? they were both busted.

4. What would you have done differently in any of the experiments. nothing they seemed seamless.

5. What myth would you like them to bust? Is yawning contagious?

State the Problem: Does sea salt affect the growth of plants? 

Gather Information: Osmosis is what will happen to some plants such as the lima bean plant. This is when plants get very dehydrated and have near all the water in the plant in wich causes it to shrivel up and die!!!

Hypothesis: There is a possibility of the plants not surviving the salt water and

Experiment Steps:

1.  wet paper towel
2.  wrap lima bean in paper towel
3. place in window seal 
4. label your cups (salt and tap)

Results: the salt water plant is actually growing i little better than the tap LOL!!!

Conclusion: Osmosis most likely only affects plants that come from a normal seed instead of a bean like the lima plant we are testing with but i do think once the plants are out and actually seedlings that breath the salt water will kill the lima plant
